Description

Zephyr Quest is a small server community focused on balanced, challenging game-play. If you are looking for another overpowered factions server where everyone can teleport and are given loads of diamonds, this is not the server for you. Our goal here is to create a fun and challenging gameplay experience that builds on top of vanilla with as few commands as possible. Griefing (unauthorised modification of property) is strictly forbidden on this server. However, we allow and encourage pvp, killing of animals, and theft. Please read our rules for more details on this.

Exploration

Our spawn world is more than just a place that you start out at there is plenty to explore for those times when you are bored of survival. There are 25 trophies hidden in random places around spawn. Some of them are easy to get to, others are very difficult. You can also get a trophy from making an introduction on the forums and inviting a friend to the server. Whoever collects all 27 trophies will be awarded the Wizard rank which has special powers. As for what exactly: that is a surprise.

Survival

Our survival world isnt just ordinary vanilla we used the custom world generation feature in 1.8 to add a deeper underground, more challenging ore distribution, more dungeons, flatter flat areas, and more interesting mountains/hills. Coal and iron are found near sea level, but not near bedrock. Diamonds are found slightly higher than they were before. All of the other ores are found somewhere in between. The mountains are taller and weird overhangs are a lot more common.

You might be wondering how we stop griefers from destroying everything that you worked hard on. We have a custom plugin that protects land automatically. All you need to do is build and place at least one chest. That is it. No using up a limited number of claim blocks with a golden shovel. No buying land with money. Just survival as it should be.
